The best ever Vegetable Burger recipe, these are great to serve with a nice table salad, they are effortless to make and will please even most enthusiastic vegetarian. These Macro burgers can be found on our gourmet bbq catering menus. When making the vegetable burgers, test a small piece and make sure you are happy with the seasoning and binding before forming them all. They are great option for lunch & dinner.


Vegetable Burgers
 
Ingredients
  • 500g onions diced
  • 80g garlic chopped
  • 60g ginger chopped
  • 2cups coriander chopped
  • ¼ cup oil vegetable
  • 2T ground cumin
  • 2T ground coriander
  • 1kg chicken pea cooked (keep warm)
  • 250ml sweet chilli sauce
  • 500g peas
  • 500g corn kernels
  • 200g chick pea flour
  • 3T curry powder
Instructions
  1. Saute onions, garlic, ginger and coriander in the oil, add the spices and remove to cool
  2. blend the chick peas in the blender and remove and add to the onion mixture
  3. Add the sweet chilli sauce and the peas and corn, adjust the seasoning
  4. Roll the mixture into a pattie and lightly coat in the chickpea flour
  5. Shallow fry the patties until golden brown then finish in the oven at 180deg for 8 minutes
