Barramundi is the Australian Aboriginal meaning for large-scaled river fish, it is a fish that has beautiful white flesh that is slightly oily, and when it is steamed it is amazing! The following recipe is so simple, quick and easy and the results are excellent, always use fresh Barramundi from your local fish supplier.
Steamed Barramundi with ginger & soy
- 500g Barramundi fresh
- 50ml Soy Sauce
- 20g Ginger fresh
- 20g Garlic
- ¼b Spring onions
- 1b Chinese brocoli
- Using a micro plane finely grate the fresh ginger and garlic
- Place soy, ginger and garlic into a rectangle container that will fit into a steamer pot
- then place the spring onions and Chinese broccoli on top of the soy
- then place the Barramundi on top of the vegetables and the soy
- steam until just cooked
